John 6:1-14

Jesus Feeds The 5,000

This weeks memory verse:

Psalm 100:2 “Serve the Lord with Gladness.”

What a great lesson we had this week.  Jesus uses one boy’s lunch to feed 5,000.  This week try this object lesson, you need to buy some craft sponges from a craft store. These are sponges that ex- pand when they come in contact with water. Before your talk, cut them out in the shape of fish.

Say: In your story from Sunday, Jesus did something only he could do – a miracle. He took two little fish and multiplied them so that the crowd was filled.  Then add water to the sponges.

While more than likely Jesus didn’t actually expand the size of the fish, he did make sure there was plenty to go around.

Did you know that God can take what you to have to offer and use it to make a difference in the lives of others? Maybe you can sing, or you like talking to others, or you like to share. God wants to take your abilities and use them to make a difference!  God can take what you have ….and make it bigger!
